The world through my eyes: Equinox

Today is the autumnal equinox, the day when the world trembles in balance between light and dark. This whole year has been a dance of light and dark. Most years are, this year is higher contrast.

I spent part of today wandering around with my camera, looking at light and dark, growth and decay, death and remembrance.
Self-portrait in the lotus fields.

Close up of a lotus seed pod. One plant, many futures.
The leaves are easily 2' across.
Crabapples
Road to nowhere.
Abandoned
Seedpods

Train, red garage door, grain silo.

Sun in the wasteland
The land has stories.
