Thanks for a Life in Hell

Before there was The Simpsons, there was Life in Hell, Matt Groening's sardonic look at the world. It carried me through college and beyond. Last Saturday was the final strip and captures not only the spirit of Life in Hell, but a bit of how I try to live. You can decide who I might be here. Thank you, Mr. Groening, for making Life in Hell a little bit funnier and lot less lonely.

  1. My daughters (and I) still love to reread The Big Book of Hell and Akbar and Jeff's Guide to Life books from the eighties. "My name is little Bongo, I sing my little song-o, there's just one place that I belong and that would be the Congo."
